2021 Year in Review: New Software Features, Client-Exclusive Programs & Funding Enhancements
It’s over. Done. 2021 is officially in the books.
Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of the new releases and programs we launched. Looking ahead, we can’t wait to see our clients’ faces light up for all that’s in store as we continue to make enhancements to our software and services in 2022.
But, before we move forward, let’s look back — in more detail — at all the happenings and highlights from 2021:
Early in 2021, we issued a new release for our member app, MemberAssist. (The app syncs with our Member Manager software, so that members can view class schedules, book/cancel a class, join a waitlist, and check-in while on the go on their phones.)
This MemberAssist release included 2 big enhancements.
One … new controls for administrators to expand a class cancellation period. Now you can configure a range of time for a class cancellation period down to the hour and up to 12 months.
Two … the release came with new controls for members to manage their class bookings – specifically the ability to cancel a class booking and/or join a waitlist.
Moving into March …
We celebrated our 30-year business anniversary.
That’s right, waaaaayy back in ‘91 … when the radiowaves were blasting Bryan Adams, C+C Music Factory, and Paula Abdul 😊 … Member Solutions opened its doors.
While our 30th anniversary on March 7, 2021 was certainly a milestone for our company, it was a celebration of our clients, too. After all, without our incredible clients, there would be no Member Solutions!
That said, in March, we proudly hosted our first-ever virtual Meet & Greet Awards Ceremony where we recognized martial arts and fitness business owners for their commitment to their students, their community, and the industry.
March was also when we made significant updates to our Support Center.
Now dubbed the Support Hub, the Solution Center portion houses dozens of FAQs, set-up instructions, and how-tos for Member Manager and Event Manager software users.
Also part of the Support Hub, the ticket system got a big overhaul. Now clients can get a real-time read on their open tickets and resolution progress. With the support ticket system, clients can enter tickets, indicate priority, make updates, and track status.
As the flowers began to bloom in the Spring, so did our software releases
In April, our Member Manager software was updated to include the ability for staff and members to take a profile pic with a webcam to update their profiles.
Also in April, our event registration tool, Event Manager software, got a BUNCH of enhancements, including:
◾ An improved content editor to speed form creation
◾ New registration by access code for heightened security and control
◾ The ability to add events to external calendars
◾ Improved email handling for deliverability issue detection and resolution
The summer months saw their share of new, too
In June, we launched a new client-exclusive monthly marketing materials program to make marketing special offers and events, like summer camps, quick and easy for our clients. Currently the library contains 10(!) marketing kits and we’re excited to keep the collection going and growing in 2022.
In July, a new Resource Center was launched with our redesigned Member Solutions website. The Resource Center was created to make it quick and easy for our clients to find business guidance on anything from Facebook advertising to event marketing. The Resource Center includes videos, webinars, guides, checklists, and more – all searchable by topic and type.
Also in mid-Summer, we released a new Client Roundtable program designed exclusively for Member Solutions clients. Roundtables are 30-minute, interactive chat sessions where Member Solutions clients discuss challenges, successes, and best practices around a specific business topic.
Moving into August, we proudly launched new true-to-month billing cycles. These new cycles make it much easier for our clients to track profitability and match funds with accounting periods to get a true picture of their business’ financial health.
And, last, but certainly not least, in October, we released new funding frequencies; giving our clients the option to choose monthly, weekly, or daily funding to accelerate their funding and have more capital to work with throughout the month.
