Holiday Card Campaign: How to Multiply Your Martial Arts Leads & Memberships This Holiday Season
Looking for an easy, low-cost way to generate more martial arts leads and more memberships for your business?
Look no further than our customizable holiday cards.
The holiday cards serve as a simple, yet impactful gift for your martial arts students to give to their best friend, parents, siblings, classmates, neighbors, cousins, and others.
Even better, the holiday cards also serve as a pass for a free month of martial arts lessons to help generate leads for your business.
Follow these 5 simple steps to launch your own holiday card campaign:
1. Determine the number of cards you want to print.
We recommend giving 20 cards to each student and/or family – so that if you have 100 students, you’ll want to get 2,000 cards printed.
2. Download and customize your holiday card.
If you’re a Member Solutions client, head to the marketing materials library to download the card.
(Not a Member Solutions client? With a bit more time and effort, you can create your own holiday card. We recommend using a simple design program like Canva.)
Save the PDF and open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader. (If you don’t have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download the program here. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program to view, create, edit, print, and manage PDFs.)
Within the PDF, click the form fields. (Note: the purple box and red outline will not print. They simply indicate the fillable section on the PDF.)
Select and replace all placeholder text in the form fields with your information.
Next, click the placeholder image that reads “Your Logo Here”, then click “Browse” in the pop-up pane before navigating to and selecting your business logo.
Next, click the placeholder image that reads “Replace with Your QR Code”. Click “Browse” in the pop-up pane before navigating to and selecting your QR code.
Click “File > Save” to save changes.
3. Place an order with a print company, like Vistaprint, or your local print shop.
Place your print order as soon as possible, so that you’ll have the holiday cards in hand by Monday, December 19, 2022 to pass out to your students that week.
Going through Vistaprint will cost you around $200 to have 2,000 vertical, double-sided 4 x 6 inch holiday cards printed. Express shipping will run about $50 to have the cards shipped and delivered to you within 3 to 4 business days.
It may be more affordable to go with a local printer like a FedEx or Staples. Printing locally will also save you the expense of shipping, along with any shipping delay that can occur during the busy holiday season.
4. Make it extra special. (Options for consideration.)
Consider placing each holiday card in an envelope. 4 x 6 inch envelopes can be purchased in packs of 100 for about $13 on Amazon. Envelopes will of course add an additional expense to the project, but it will also make the presentation of the holiday card that much nicer.
Another option to make the cards extra special: attach a small candy cane to each card or place the holiday card in a bag with candy.
5. Distribute holiday cards to students.
Once the cards arrive, place your packs of 20 holiday cards in gift bags for easy distribution. Dollar Tree sells small red kraft paper gift bags in packs of 3 for $1.25.
And you’re done!
With a little time and effort, and for about $300 ($400 with candy, $500 with envelopes), you’ve made your students’ holiday gift-giving extra special and created a new stream of leads for your business.
